Be prepared for the negotiations. When an offer is presented, we will be there to lead you through the process. Every negotiation is different and this is an area where the skill and experience of a top producer will pay dividends. In addition to the information provided when setting your asking price, the comments made by others who have viewed your home along the way, may be useful during the negotiation process. We don't want any surprises now.
The negotiating process should not be a battle. The buyer wants to buy and the seller wants to sell, so there is a common goal. A good negotiator shifts the emphasis from defeating the opponent, to solving the problem and maintaining a win/win solution.
You will need a copy of your Real Property Report with compliance, as well as a completed Property Disclosure Statement in order to close the deal on your home. These two items are required and form part of the purchase contract. Having them present at the time of the offer presentation eliminates any unnecessary concerns.
